About the Role 

We are seeking a Food Services Supervisor with strong leadership capabilities to ensure our food services consistently meets Mercy Hospital’s exceptional standards. 

The Food Services Supervisor role is responsible for on the floor supervision of the day to day food service operation. 

This is a permanent, 40 hours per week role to be worked on a 3 week rotating roster with 1 in 3 Saturdays and no spilt shifts. A mixture of early shifts 6.15 to 14.45 or late shifts 11.45 – 20.15.

The successful person chosen for this role will be expected to commence in early 2022.

Specific duties include: 

  • Roster Management to ensure productive standards are meet
  • Ensure best practise standards are achieved in all areas
  • Create an inclusive culture of mutual respect and collaboration, supporting wellbeing
  • Identify long term process solutions in collaboration with the Head Chef  
  • On the floor coordination of the day to day operation.

Skills and Experience:

  • At least 2 years’ supervisory or leadership experience in a food service role
  • Ability to lead by example in a positive and collaborative manner 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and time management 
  • Enthusiasm and a proactive, flexible attitude.
