About the Role 

The Theatre Cleaning Supervisor (or Theatre Support Coordinator) is responsible for on the floor coordination of the day to day operational requirements of the Theatre Support Assistants (TSA’s). Providing support to the Theatre Suite team (which includes Theatres, DSU, PACU, ICU and CSSD), with cleaning, patient movement and theatre set up. 

We are seeking a leader who can lead and train the TSA team, through daily mentoring and auditing.

This is a permanent, 40 hour per week role to be worked on a rotating roster Monday-Friday with shifts falling in between the hours of 7.30am-7pm. 

Specific duties include: 

  • Roster Management to ensure productivity standards are met
  • Ensure best practise standards are achieved in all areas
  • Work with the Team Leader to ensure a cycle of continuous quality improvements
  • Nurture an inclusive culture of mutual respect and collaboration, supporting wellbeing
  • Knowledge of infection control practises
  • Responsible for ensuring all areas of the theatre suite meet cleaning standards.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous leadership experience 
  • Adaptable and flexible to assist with the changing work environment
  • The ability to demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality and discretion
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to build and sustain a positive working environment and lead by example.
